Platys & Discus

Anyone keep them together? Specifically, how do Platys handle the high temps required for discus?

I don't have platys with discus but I do have six lyretailed black molly's in 55 gal. along with two discus,a clown pleco, neon tetras, and some cory's. I keep the discus tank at 84 degrees and the molly's have been in the tank since they were babys. The adults that spawned them had to be removed after I observed them pecking at the discus and generally harrassing them. The juveniles have not exhibited any similar instances. I am not sure how platy's would do.

The most important medication in your fish medicine cabinet is.. Clean water.

I've rasied the temp to 83 just to see how they react and so far no gasping at the top or lethargy near the bottom, so hopefully they'll do OK.....
