Platys bottom feeding?

I just got 3 sunburst wag platys, and they're all hanging out near the bottom, with my 8 cory cats. Is this normal for them to do? I thought they usually hung out near the top or middle of a tank. Thanks!

I've never seen mine hanging out at the bottom of the tank unless they're trying to get in on the action when I put in some sinking pellets.

If they're new, they might just be trying to acclimate. How long have you had them?

Animal testing is a terrible idea; they get all nervous and give the wrong answers.

I just got them, so most likely they're just getting use to the tank then.
