If the male is harassing multiple females to a point of stressing them to death, that tells me that tank doesn't have enough decoration for those females to hide from the male when they need to. Take a good look at your decor and start adding to it... plants, live or fake, work very well. Breaking the line of sight between the fish makes a huge difference.

If you want suggestions, post a photo of the tank and I will help however I can.

I agree with you. I have several plants, but they are still small so I am waiting on them to grow a little more. The one he is currently picking on seems to have taken to hiding under the drift wood I have.

Will the male pick on a female even if she is already pregnant?

Yes. Males will continue to mate with females all the time if they can. The body of the female livebearer has the ability to store sperm for quite a long time. If she mates with 3 - 4 different males (or the same male 3 - 4 times) in a few wks time and then is removed to a tank without males, she can have 3 - 4 spawns of fry... one for each mating, every 30 days on average.

If you are planning to wait until the plants grow out on their own then you may likely lose your female(s) to the constant harassment by the male. If you don't wish to put more live plants in there, then maybe adding some silk or plastic plants to help offer shelter until the live ones grow out would be the better option for you. Either way, it sounds as if you need a lot more of something in there as soon as possible.
