Ok, well she is giving birth... but she ate like 2/2 babies I SAW... one I saw her push it out and 2 seconds after she ate it... :/ i was so mad... my little drop down spots not working rightttt... D: And im mad she'd eat her baby... even tho its normal.... eating it right after u pop it out... :/
But she looks huge and i see tons of eyes in her stomach so im watching her like a hawk. Gonna catch each one she pops out and move it...
She's giving birth really slowly... :/ I feel like im worrying too much about her/her babies and freaking her out So stressful idk what to do to save her from eating her babies... so I put her in one of the store bought breeder box... but its kinda small :/
Mehh, maybe she had her babies too early. About 2/3 were born dead. :/ About 14 were alive and seemed healthy, though. I'm afraid some might have gotten out of the breeder box, or they are hiding the little ball of java moss I put int he breeder box, but I only see around 6-7 so we'll see.
Hmm, I counted about 15-16 in the breeder box... I moved them to a net breeder box so they for sure wouldn't get out (but apparently i had no problems with the other one!), and then I caught 2 more swimming around my tank. She took likeee 7 hours to give birth all the way, and by the time I had to go to bed I think she still had a few more... so I let her out... Idk how she took so long. :S But by around 6 hours in she start really popping them out. :/ Sadly, about 3 to 1 were dead... it was so sad :/ idk it must be my fault somehow... Anyways, bumblebee platy is due tomorrow... not sure though, she's really difficult to tell. But I'd really like some more bumblebee platy babies. The one that I had that was almost full black died somehow. Guess they can't all live...
But also I wish platies were vegetarians T.T I saw one platy get out of the box and was swimming by my sword plant and got gobbled up by my red wag platy. :S
I think I have enough baby fish though maybe I should let nature takes its course... 40ish in my 44g tank.
