Platy Fry Tank =)

I've had my fry in breeder boxes for the past 3 weeks. They've been growing, but wanted to be sure to give them the best environment to thrive in. I know that when they are grown (assuming that none of them die) that the tank will be quite crowded, but I've got another tank to move some in to as well.

I released them all in to a cycled 20 gallon tank. They seem to LOVE it! Swimming around, getting stong and coming up to the front glass to get food when they see me. So cute! I love it!

Yesterday, I had a variatus female drop 27 more fry, bringing the total to 98 little fry in that 20 gallon tank. Woo-hoo!

Here's some pics =)

Thank you. I want to get some more tall plants for the back of the tank, but the fry seem to like it no matter. =)

I spent probably about 30 minutes taking LOTS of pictures... and only a FEW of them turned out good. lol The babies are too wiggly, so most of the pics turn out blury! Just patience to get some good pics. =)

I have one more mom that looks about ready to burst... and I mean.. holy cow. She's huge. Here's a couple pics...

I've been able to see the eyes in her belly for about 5 days now. I'm guessing there will be at least 35 babies. Craziness!

Yep, see, here's a lesson. I put her in a breeding trap right after I posted that, and she hasn't had any since then. =\

She's been back out in the 'materinity ward' for about an hour, and I think she is finally getting ready to drop some more. So far, only three. Here's some pics. So tiny!
