I now know that swordtails are not really a good choice for my 24x12x18 Bowfront 30. But what about platies. I really like livebearers and would like to have at least a few, maybe 1 male and 3 females or so along with some corys and maybe some small tetras. Also I would probally use the platies to cycle, although I have been using a cycling aid.

You can go for platies. I see no reason why you cannot.

Sent from my desktop or phone or whatever else I am holding on to 2
I'm ready for the pressure.
The drama and the pleasure!
If there is one thing I want to see here, it's HUMOR.
I believe I can fly!
I believe I can touch the sky!
I think about it every night and day!
I stand in awe of my body.
