My platys were all pregnant but I just let them get on with it as I wasnt consciously looking to keep the babies. Law of nature n all that. 2 platys gave birth last week. Didnt c any babies so I thought theyd been gobbled.

When cleaning the tank 2day and doing water changes I saw a baby!!! It was tiny (obviously) and kinda translucent. I was very excited. Cant wait to show my son when he comes home from school - if we can find it.

Also a question for u ppl in the know.....how long can a female use her internal storage system to get pregnant without any males??? Iv got all girls (i think) and not really wanting babies, Iv not got the room.

My son and myself were looking for the baby and we've found 3 different 1s!!! About as big as match heads and a pretty gold colour.

The 1st 1 was grey-y and bigger.

So we've had 2 lots of fry.........amazing!!!

Congrats on the find!!! she will hold sperm for about 7 months possibly and then she will need to mate again to get pregnant.

Havent seen the grey 1. He hides in the house thing. but all gold 1s getting more confident and venturing out of the greenery. Very pretty and quite amazing :)

if u really want them to live you might want to seperate them... and it's easier to keep track of. But congrats on your babies! :)
