How sweet. Aren't they adorable? I had 6 platys in a QT tank and after just one day, there were three fry in there. I just loved watching those little guys.

Sadly, by the time I set up a tank for them, they were gone (eaten).

Hm, Mine have been in there for over 3 weeks and nothing. I think a few of them are looking chubby but I might be having a case of Hopeful thinking. I have quite a few plants, I was hoping a few would survive. Guess they have to be born first.

Congrats on your babies. I would love to see some pictures.

Thanks for sharing the good news. I love platies and the black ones are a particular favorite. I hope you will post some pictures, if you can get them to slow down for the camera.

hey guys thanks for all the comments. i got more good news, in total ive had 3 blck female platys give birth since yesterday, i now have about 80-90 fry (they are difficult to count). im trying to get pics but my cam aint good enough they just look like blurs lol. but as soon as they grow a bit i will get sum pics up here, its so exciting i feel like a proud father lol. It never changes each time i get a new lot of babys i am always excited, it gets more eciting each time lol

Do your babies just hang out in the plants? Do you have any other species of fish in the tank with them?

ive got them in traps, na theres no other species in this tank just platys and a bristlenose
