ITs best to take the fry to the petstore now because they are gonig to breeding like crazy. They start breeding at 3 months old. I have a three month old platy and she just gave birth last week and I suspect that my older female pearl is expecting soon.

And what are your levels since your fish keep dying? Sorry to hear about that though. :(

idk what my levels r havent gotten to test the water..its just they keep doing stuff to themselves and thats why they keep dying.my both males died because one jumped and it landed on a part of a plant that wasnt in the water and it didnt get to be in the water.then the next one kept running into the filter.

Its okay to give them to friends too, but I reconmend taking them to the petstore. I would call ocal fish stores if I would you to see if they take fry. Some do and some don't.( One of mines does)

Do you have a test kit? Alot of people reconmend API freshwater master test kit. It's $31.00 at petco( thats where I go to get most of my equitment from but the fish). It's too bad you don't have room ecuae I highly reconmend that you upgrade or take whatever females or males you have to the petstore and keep your remaining males or females.

Sorry about your lost again

ooo its alright. my pet store will take them but just not now because they r too small and they dont have color ..thats the only lfs that has guppies or platies so i have to wait for the fry to grow and get color...but im not gonna be overstocked and my fry wont have babies(well they will but i wont keep them) the tank is ok now..it doesnt look overcorwded..about 4 or 5 of the fry r out most of the time and the rest r hiding in the plants.
i dont have a test kit but i plan on getting one.

Well to help the overcrowding, you should do water changes more often. Since it's a 5 gallon it wouldn't be hard to do 30-40% every few days.

You should look into maybe a 20 gallon tank. You can buy a basic 20g for pretty cheap. ^^ Just replace the 5g with it. But I guess you need a heater and filter too so it could be a little costly....

But if it's only the plug you're worried about I'd recommend upgrading and using the plugs from the 5g for the 20g. You can also buy an extension cord or plug splitters (the things where you plug one thing in, and then it has 6 plugs in it?) that's what I use.
