They disappeared out of my 20 gal. tank with my Bumblebee platies. They might have died I just could not find any. It will take awhile to get enough of these black/white Orca patterned babies. If these 4 live that would be great. They are getting bigger in size. The ones I had before awhile back also all died. Everytime I see Black ones like these I take them out so that I can keep an eye on them. Black is suppost to have a lethal gene according to my platy book.It said that the Black platies are very rare.

I have two to choose from within an hour and a half of my home and am an active member at one while attending auctions at both. With all you have to choose from, surely you can find one that would work for you.

Lost 1 Orca Platy fry

I lost one of the smallest almost completely black Orca fry the other day. This one looked very thin and was not growing very well even though I gave it immune booster flakes for a few weeks. The 3 remaining ones are doing good and gaining weight but they are still small. I hope these 3 make it and my bumblebee platy has more black fry the next month. I still have no males in that tank yet.The platies take along time to develop into males and can be mistaken for females when young. I have 2 adult females and 2 older babies and 3 smaller bumblebee platies. The other tiny babies were yellow and were put into my big tank as food.No wonder these bumblebee platies are hard to find they breed slow and only some of them have the yellow/black combo because they do not breed true. The Blacks are rare and now I can see why as they don't make it to adult size to often.
