My New Fancy Guppies

I bought some Fancy Guppies from someone that is taking down her tank. The Blk. Mosaic guppies, and the Red,White.Blue Guppy with 2 females I got from her. The 2 Black Moscows I got from Pet Zone in San Diego to go with my 3 Black females in my 55 gal. tank. I really like the red,white,blue one. She told me that the colors of the babies will be a mix of what she had in her tanks. I will have to pull all the ones that turn up red,white, blue. My pictures did not come out really well but the blue is a metalic and really pretty. Here are my photos on Flickr.com

I was very disappointed the last time I went to see the black moscows at PetZone. I wound up getting some different guppies.

You must have got the only good ones.

Well I saw them on Aqua bid and called Petzone to see if they had any more. They only had 5 left. I left my house to go get them. The 5 that were left were not the best to pick from. The fins were tattered and some of them had a tear in the tail. I got the best 2 out of the 5. I know the tails will get better. I had some Bumblebee Platies that did not have great tails either and I put Melafix for damaged fins and open wounds in for a week and the tails all healed and they were as good as new after awhile no tears so they grew back.

I thought that the red,white, and blue Guppy would be a good one to have as it would be the perfect 4th of July / USA Guppy as I have never seem these colors before in a Guppy. The lady told me that that one was her favorite. I got first pick on her guppies before she might post on craigslist. She did not have alot of females mostly males.If anybody is in the San Diego area she told me to forward her contact in case anybody wanted some of her Guppies. They were 1 doz. for $25 or $2.50 each. She also had plants for an outside pond. Water Lettuce and Water Hyacinth for $1.50 each or 1 doz. for $15. Just sent me a PM and I will put you in contact with her. She will not ship these you will have to PU at her home. This thread is dated May 9th,2010 just in case someone checks this thread as she will not have any left after awhile.
