My mollies are turning white! Help?

They have been in a 1 gallon tank for about 3 weeks now. One is starting to turn white and the others are starting to get white spots as well. I've been doing a 50% water change every couple days because I'm worried. It doesn't seem to be helping. What am I doing wrong?!

i tried to get a picture of him but cant get a good close up... He has white stuff around his eyes and spotting on his body.

Thanks!

Ich and your tank is way to small for them. How many do you have and what other fish do you have. I would at least get a 30 gallon for them to at least be happy in. They are stressed out in a 1 gallon.

i keep my mollies in a 29 gallon tank! if you read the recomebded tank size at liveaquaria they tell you a 30 minimum... The fish needs a lot more room to swim... You should get a bigger tank for them as quick as you can... the bigger the getter. some mollies can gorw 4-5 inches ... not so great in a fish bowl..

what you need to do is treat the Ich. I'm treating one of my fish now for Ich. You can buy this med. at Walmart for about $4. It is called Quick Cure 2 days. But it will take longer to get your under control. The water temp. should be set at 80-84 degrees during treatment to clear it faster. You must remove the carcoal filter while treating the tank. Other fish can catch it. I would treat for 1-2 weeks til gone. Boil netting and any thing used in the tank. Mollies are big waste producers and that tank is way to small. Tiny endlers or freshwater shrimp would be a better fit for that tank. You can always use that tank as a hospital tank for new fish before adding to the main tank. With the Ich medicine it should clear up quickly unless it is to far gone. Black mollies seem to get it alot. Good Luck!
