Because I'm a nerd... hehe
I'm quite new at this myself but my black molly had dozens of fry so 2-3 doesn't seem normal but on the other hand if you didn't catch this quickly they could have easily consumed a large portion of the fry.

Other then that you have done an amazing job so far. Good stuff.
Do you have any floating plants? If not, fry love floating plants because it gives them lots of cover.
thanks for your input. I'm going to feed them a combination of brine shrimp and crushed fish flakes twice a day.
I have a bundle of floating and planted fake plants in the tank to provide plenty of safety for the fry, I'm assuming this is why most of them survived after being in the tank with both of mollies for a couple of days, since they had a lot of places to stay hidden for the duration. After seeing the fry I quickly moved the larger mollies though.
I cleared out my 20G tall tank for when these guys get large enough to move (which should be 3-5 weeks?). I guess I'll keep a few and either give them to my LFS for store credit or just flat out give them away because of how common and easy it is to breed a molly, we'll see though :)
