moved balloon molly male, hopefully babies any day now!

Hello! Just kinda wanted to get some opinions. I have a very pregnant black molly and she's been pregnant for a while now, a couple weeks I think, and she still hasn't given birth. I have a male balloon molly that's been "harassing" her and continuously mating with her and I'm afraid that's why she hasn't given birth. So last night I moved him into my baby tank, which is only a gallon, and I'm not proud of that but it will only be for 1 more day until he's adopted by my friend, and she seems to be acting more like herself. She has been kind of hiding behind the castle in my tank and I was wondering if this is normal behavior or not? She looks like she's about ready to pop though. I have pics of her under "my aquarium" and will try to post some newer pics tonight.

is your female also a balloon mollie? how exciting? are you going to use a breeder net or allow them to swim in the tank?what is the type of fish in your photo that was golden yellow? good luck

Congrats on your babies!!!! No, my black molly is just a regular molly. I think I'm going to let her give birth in the tank and put the babies that I find in the breeder net that I have. The golden yellow fish is a creamcicle lyre tail molly. Do you have pics of your baby platies??? Id love to see them!!

good luck im waiting on the same from a Swordtail im excited ive never had anything breed before and is the yellow one a lyretail its a cool looking fish regardless

lol itll happem i was waiting for two weeks for a female Guppy to give birth and at the least expected time it happened so u better watch.
