what do you think?

I have dalmatian mollies and am new to aquariums. Based off of your experience do you think my mollie is pregnant? I added the best picture i could get.

yes indeed..i have tons of mollies, dalmatian, lyre tail, black..and they all inter breed..i get new fry it seems like at least once a month..now my 40 gallon tank is getting over stocked.i know a pregnant molly when i see one.as i have many still pregnant and having fry,,its fun.i thought of selling them(some people want to buy them as food so charging helps discourage that)to help take the load off my tank though i have more than enough filtration.you definitely have a pregnant molly there..watch the bottom of the tank especially around any large rocks, driftwood or plants..they will give birth there and you will see small fish less than a centimeter in length swimming around..they wont get their spots until months after maturing and may seem clearish brown for a while..congrats :) by the way if there are no males with her.mollies can hold in the sperm for several months.

?That looks like a Balloon Belly Molly?

Your Dalmatian seems to be a Balloon Belly Molly, and the problem with them is you can never tell if they are pregnant or not. If you are sure it is NOT, then it is pregnant for sure. But she doesn't have to dump her babies right away, she could stay pregnant for a long time. I have no idea why, but they seem to stay pregnant for quite a period -- gestation is supposed to be around a month, but I have seen this go for quite a long time. You could have Dalmatian babies, silver, or gold depending on who the father is. Even black. Sometimes when I have a Dalmatian mother and a Harlequin father, you get a mix of orange front, Dalmatian back, and black fins. A speckled, pretty fish. Good luck with your fish, and prepare to remove the babies as soon as possible, the adults WILL eat them, unless you have a ton of hidden space for them to hang around.

Ummm... the Dalmatians usually have Dalmatian babies -- which look like Dalmatian right off. They are dark, you can see the dapples, and they are difficult to see because they mix with the rocks. But if other fathers are around, they can have nude babies (no color), or gold babies, or black, given the father. You can tell who the father is, if you know what to look for.

My Fry

Well she was pregnant I found 10 fry yesterday in the tank. I moved them to a breeder net. I am worried though it will not be big enough for them to grow into. I added a few pictures though

Congratulations!

So you now have new babies, have you got some food for them? They need to be fed several times per day -- at least two minimum. Don't worry about cleaning up after them, usually they will eat everything in sight. If you haven't got fry food, then take some regular wafers and smash it up as small as possible, practically into a powder. Remember they are very small with tiny mouths. But they really need a food made just for fry, Hikari First Bites, another is called Baby Bites, and a few others. That way they get the extra vitamins and nutrients they need.

It also looks like your momma parlayed with at least a silver father because some of them are very pale. You have a dark one in the top picture, so that should be a Dalmatian. Good luck with the fry, it will be fun watching them grow.

indeed..when feeding the adults make sure to smash up some of the flakes to more of a powder for the fry..i always fed mine twice a day when feeding the adults.i just made sure to make the flakes more of a powder form.but having them in a breeding container will make it easier to feed and have them grow faster.congrats..i went and got my two 10 gallons to put all my fry in..they wont stop breeding ;) and considering i have tiger barbs and discus in with them.some fry have already been eaten and the rest ill save and probably give away.
