sorry to double post but now one of the female swordtails is chasing my mickey mouse platy around the tank, and trying to bite, should i get other mickey mouse platy females or other females? any suggestions

Platies and swordtails can easily interbreed. I'd get more female platies if your tank space permits it.

Thanks lupin. i have a 29gallon so how many more fish could i add.
I have:
2corys (i diffenetly want more)
3 swordtails 1m 2f
1 female platy
1 betta
3 pelcos (yep to many but they are still really young )

i dont know how many more fish you should add.?.?.?. plecos get very large and swords are a good size too. you could probably add a fewmore if they are small fish.

thanks crazy4fish i wanted to add a few cardinal tetras and another cory or 2, and some more platies and swordtails :D

definately add another platy or 2 to keep the other company. i would only add 1 cory if you get more. cardinal tetras are small enough but make sure there is still enough room in your tank for them and the other fish to swim. i wouldnt get any more swordtails if you get all the other fish. it would probably be too crowded.

yea thanks i want to leave room for one of my babies im raising, and when they are old enough im thinking of turning my 8 gallon into a little place for 2 dwarf puffers if my lfs can import them in :D
