hi
are you talking about the guppys,if so,yes it will continue.
it may pay you to buy some melifix,as the shredded fins will probably get a secondary infection.
if you introduce females,be sure to have a few,as they will be hounded by males.
you may have to re-home him then, there are other things you could try, however
i don't think they will work.sometimes you just get on like that and there's not
much you can do.
Well I guess he could not take it. Was dead today when I got home from work. I guess the macho man wanted all the girls to himself. I think I will name him macho!!!!!
I had the same issues with my all-male guppy set-up. I took the bully away and made him spend a few days in another tank. When I put him back, the bullying seemed to stop. They still "fight" from time to time but there's no clear aggressor or victim anymore and it's not as intense as before.
Well now I am down to 1 male and 2 females. The other 2 females died. But the good news is now I have about 6-7 fry. I still have not been able to catch them so they are in the main tank. The are getting noticeably bigger since Monday.
i dont know if you have the room or the tanks, but my red swordtail males where not really aggressive towards one another, but they will posture in front of each other (extending their fins and shaking) but i have never noticed any fin nipping or extreme chasing.......I moved some fry males (2 months old) into the tank with them and now the posturing doesnt seem to happen as much...........Maybe upping the number of males would help, but i dont know if its a sure cure.......I now have 5 males together with my dwarf crayfish and they all get along, and no one picks on the smaller two males
Well now the 2 females I have are very pregnant and he just chases them around constantly. He gets on my nerves just watching so I am wondering how these 2 feel about it
, What can I do about it or should I just let them be??
either get more females to keep him occupied or get a secondary tank for him. personally i have a breeding program i just started and i took my 20 gal and put a DIY divider in it so the males stay apart from my females until i place them in the "looove nest" to breed. LOL
other wise the males will harass the females till they kill them...
hope all goes well....
