i have two male platies left after the females have sadly died off. i have previously posted about my glo lite tetras having their fins nipped, could this be becuase my platies are lonely and need females?
also will platies attack other fish and shrimps? i was thinking about getting some shrimps to keep the algae at bay.
Well, you'll either have to get 3 females to keep the men occupied which brings the problem of having a large constant amount of fry, or you'll have to get 4 other platies so the aggression is spread out more. Your choice. The shrimp should be alright with the platies and if they have a good number of hiding spots it's best for them. But it's best you get rid of the CAEs first so you don't have them chasing the shrimp around or anything.
