i always keep my babies separate from ALL fish, including mom until they are 5 weeks old.....just as a precaution.

In my experience if you keep the fry with their parents, you will not have many fry that survive. However you will have some that survive and this will kind of keep the population in check,

In my experience, a well fed female molly is just fine with her fry. Take for example this one who was with her fry from birth. The picture was taken 5 weeks later.
