i do have 3 real plants and about 12 rocks in there.can babies hide under gravel?

I guess they could hide under the gravel, not sure. See if you can get a fake plant or two. They also like the floating ones, that way they get to eat without being lunch.

Maybe java moss or water sprite if you are talking about live plants, they dont require any special lighing. If you want fake ones look at my aquarium pic to see what kind I have as they work great. Good Luck
