my blue and black fish is really squared off and it has been for quite a while. im not sure when she will give birth she has a black dot under her stomach. i cant see if she has a gravid spot because of her color. she looks like she has stretch marks lol. any suggestions?

My molly fry was 3-4 weeks and then acclamated into the group. It's so cute and fascinating to watch

Well I am on the second batch of fry now. Out of the first batch there are 6, they are about 5-6 weeks now and coloring up really nice. The new ones were born last week. I never took any of them out of the tank. The first ones hid until they were about 3-4 weeks and now they are all over the place. The new ones dont hide much, they are really bold. Maybe because its about 15 of them. They are the cutest, darting about the tank. Its awesome to watch.

Gotta agree with that! We've got over 40 in the nursery tank now!! And probably half dozen or more in the grow out tank. But the albino's still haven't begun a BIG drop yet. The few that were born are about a month old now and flitting around the yellow shrimp tank as if they own the place LOL.

Glad things are going well with your fry...it's just awesome checking the tank and finding newbies isn't it?

Congrats on your fry also!!!! I cant believe it but the new fry are less than a week old and they are all over the place. Its like they are not scared because it no hiding for them. The other fish are not paying them much attention, at least I have not seen anyone approach them like they are snacks!!!!

Now I am looking for a bigger tank!!!!!!!!!!!!

I would not suggest putting your fish in a bowl as they still need filter, heater etc. Just try and have a little patience. If you have livebearers they will soon have babies...........
