How cute! My females are always pregnant but the rest of the tank eats the fry as snacks. Good luck with your fry and hope he/she can hide out until they're full grown.

Welcome to TFK.

Animal testing is a terrible idea; they get all nervous and give the wrong answers.

Welcome to TFK.
Thanks, very much.
The more I read up on these little guys, the more I like them. I think I get a few more!

Aaaaw I love platies. :)

I am a great-grandma of about 10-15 platy fry... I think if you have enough floating plants and hiding spots for the fry, you won't need to worry about getting more platies... that female can keep having babies for quite awhile without even having a male in the tank. I haven't had a male in my tank for months, and I keep finding new fry. I think she has dropped at least 3 times since I found the first ones, judging by all the different sizes of fry that I've got.
