I hear ya.. I was really excited with my female guppies. They were getting huge.
I only actually saw two to begin with.. one lying on the bottom of the tank kind of in a ball. Dead I assumed; but it disappeared.
And when I did a water change with a gravel vacuum, one popped out of the gravel! And then I found another one swimming around..and another.
I ended up with four alive. I guess that's okay though. I thought I'd only have one or two.

sorry bout your female and fry but when iv "accadently" bought pregnant females the stress of moving must cause them to loose there babys because i only got 2 from one female but then when that baby grew up (i still have her) she droped 28 aprox on wednesday so it could have been the stress :):):)

now only one is alive. :( BUT it looks like this one will survive, cuz its swimming really well and seems to be really great! my female is still square and sorta fat, but her gravid spot is almost gone. is she done giving birth? current Guppy count: 1 alive 12 dead

hey i have more fry that were born a few weeks ago, and i believe that one of the females is pregnant... AND SQUARED OFF!!!! is this possible?!??! she's about as big as a cap eraser... she was being kept with her brothers so...... also, i put her in my main tank for a few hours one day to see how she would do, and i have an adult male Guppy in there, so could that have done it? HELP PLEASE!!! Also, she doesnt have any color??!?!
