How much longer?

I've got two very fat, very pregnant-looking guppies that have been kept in a tank now for just over a week, but no fry yet.

When do you think I can expect them to give birth?

Watch the gravid spot on its belly. As it becomes darker and small circles (which are actually the fry's eyes) visible, it'll give you signs that she'll drop the fry soon.

One's actually half black so it's quite hard to see how dark the gravid spot is, but I've been able to see little eyes in both of them for the past few days now - those eyes are very, very creepy!! The only thing is, the black one's looked square for quite a while, though still no fry!

Will cleaning out their tank disturb them, and put them off giving birth for a longer time?

My guppies before just used to get on with it, there was no waiting around! :p

Yes.

More like dropping their fry prematurely and in this case, expect heavy losses. Fry are stillborn.

I've got my first fry! But.... it wasn't where I was expecting it to be o.o In fact, it was in the main tank! Now, that leaves me with a little problem... I don't know what it is! I'm fish-sitting for a friend of mine, who's given me three balloon mollies - two females, one male - who look pregnant, and I've just put them into the tank, not more than 1/2 hour ago! So, I've seperated the mollies into their own tank, and the possible guppy culprits are now in with the other two pregnant females, but how can I tell if the fry is a guppy or a molly? o.o It looks like it's got a few black stripes on it...
