Hi guys i just found this forum last night and i love it. As i sit still waiting for my zebra pleco i thought i would pass some time taking pics of my LB tank. this was my second tank. i started with a ten gallon and just needed bigger and i found this lovely tank on ebay. it was a great find. anyway i have 1 platty, three molly's and three swordtails. then i have a little b/w tigar barb and lots of babies in there and a cory cat as well as a Clown Loach whome i think i am going to have to find a home for. i'd like to watch him grow up but i don't think i am going to have room for him. anyway just thought i would share.[/url]

One question. You have one lone Tiger Barb in a tank? Thats asking for nothing but trouble.

Barbs Like to be in Schools. If you get a school of barbs then the nipping and fighting will cut down.

Well this was one of the first fish we got when we first got our first tank last year, we had a school of them and he was off by himself and he's small and black and white no other markings just that. and he is very special we went through lots of disease and stuff after we first got things set up and he survived everything and he is very docile and loves all the other fish. and they actually like him. he has nver nipped anyone. but i know ordinarily it would be asking for trouble but he's a very good boy and very sweet.

I just can't figure out how to put pics up here. what the heck?

the nipping is not as much of the problem, its the stress the barb will face by being by himself, when barbs are by themselves the stress level increases

oh well he seems fine he hangs out with the baby molly's and platty's. he likes the babies. and like i said we've had him forever and he was stressed when he was with the other barbs we had cuz they chased him around.

barbs are meant to chase each other around, but since you arent getting anymore i guess we shouldnt go off topic

pecking order is like chasing, my danios have a pecking order, and they play tag a lot
