two uncles live here in town n one is out of town
thanks i already got them like last tuesday
but two just died yesterday
i think my black one is pregnant
n my red one mated with one of my bigger females
which died yesterday
just wanted to say you should be testing your water when you find one dead. You need to see if they water is changing... in turn killing the fish. if they keep dying something is wrong. check your parameters.
fish don't generally just die off... unless the are just old. if they are dieing something is causing it.
yea ok i'l post up a video on youtube so u can see if my guppies are prego or not
n i only have two females left they have been around lotsa males so don't noe yet
I agree. If you keep losing fish, there is something horribly wrong. Guppies are usually very very hardy fish so that many losses makes me think you have a problem you have yet to diagnose.
the orangeish red tail one looks kina prego.. wait another week and give us another quick video or pics to compare to. the other one could be prego but not showing a lot but the red/orange tail one looks kinda prego from what I see.
something was already wrong with his water from the start of this thread.unless he deals with it whether his guppy is preggie or not wont matter coz either the fishes or their babies will die before reaching adulthood
ma xiong i'm not trying to get you to quit.you'll save a lot of money and fish lives if we help you to fix the water problem first.then you can have truckloads of babies and never ever need to buy one again =)
so lets start from the beginning. from the clip it looks like it has rocks in it.is it planted? how long has the tank been setup.is the filter clean or clogged.
yea it has rocks plants and uhh like 4-5 weeks ago
and the tank was used for my goldfish but i gave it to my cuzzin
so i cleaned the tank with warm water
but not using soap
i cleaned the filter too
today i got two more guppies
and some medicine from the total of all the guppies i got and died was up to $15
have you cleaned the filter since you setup the tank? only use old tank water so the good bacteria don't die. the reason the fishes died maybe due to the tank not being cycled enough or the water not being clean enough. is the filter big enough to keep the water clean? are there active carbons in it? i find the carbons help by soaking up chemicals that are deadly to fish in high amounts, but since you have plants the carbon shouldn't be in there for a long time, i suggest putting it in after a water change and taking it out the next day but thats just IMO.do you use anti chlorine?
going on what was just stated your filter, how old is it? It could be time for a new one... that is a possibility. If the carbon has been used too much etc it might help to replace it. if by doing this you'd have to re-cycle the tank unless you can fit the second filter in the filter to jump start the cycle on it.
guess it just needs to be fully cycled then.too many fishes added at the same time will also cause problems.so if the fish are doing ok.don't add anymore for the time being.have you tested the water?
yea the fish are doin ok for now i guess
and no have not tested the water yet
