Alright, there are a lot of threads about guppies. However, most of them deal with breeding them.
I just bought ten random guppies from the fish store last night. Male/Female mix. Almost all of the guppies are hanging out at the top of the tank. Right underneath the water level. What's up with that? I've had guppies before and have never had an issue with them afraid to leave the surface. I figured they might have been oxygen starved from the over populated fish store (they had a big sale so over populated tanks where worse that night). However morning has come and the guppies are still hanging out at the top. All but two of them. One which I don't suspect will make it threw the week (he rest on the bottom). And one that is acting normal.
I have already got another guppy on hold for the sickly one I brought home (he was resting in the bottom of the bag before I released them into the tank).
The fish in this store are not treated horribly. They all have clean tanks etc. Any ideas? Is this maybe new home syndrome?
This is in my 75 gallon tank. Details are in the Aquarium log.
This may be a new tank, but I am using a stabilizer to get the nitrogen cycle going. Bought the stabilizer last night.
