Guppies plus a Rainbow Shark?

Can a school of guppies be kept with one Rainbow Shark? I just got a new 50 gallon tank and I know I want guppies, rummy nose tetras, and cories. But I also want one 4-8 inch fish that I can put in with them. All the fish of that size that can go with those fish are schooling fish. But I just want one medium to big fish as kinda a center piece. Any other fish I can do?

I've had no problems. I wish it would help keep the guppy fry population down, but it doesn't seem to. The rainbow shark is not aggressive at all.

does anyone have experience keeping rainbow shark with any plecos? Specifically smaller ones like the bristlenose? I would love to get a red-tailed black shark but cannot due to it's aggression. If a rainbow shark would be a viable option that would be great. I always assumed they had a similar temperament.

I actually have had a Red Tailed shark in my 55g along with 2 ruber nose plecos without any problems for the last year.

I have a common pleco about 5cm and a rainbow shark that is about 7-8cm and they ignore one another

I have one with a bristlenose and a rubberlip in the same tank? No problems.

My Red Tail Black Shark has no problems with my Plecos. It only had ever had a problem when I had a rainbow shark in the same tank.
