Guppies or Endlers

So I have a huge duckweed problem in my guppy tank and to solve that i would add one to two small to medium sized goldfish. I was wondering if they are going to eat or nip at my guppies. I have a 55 gallon tank and the temperature is always 79-80f.

Maybe not, but most likely they will. Not sure its worth the risk.

Yes they will. Goldfish gladly consume anything that fits in their mouths. Unless they are fancy goldfish they will quickly outgrow that tank. They are also not a tropical fish and should not be kept at temperatures that high. I have two goldfish in a 55 gallon, and I can't keep anything else (even snails) in there because they eat everything. I even have trouble with plants. You are better off scooping out the duckweed by hand than endangering your guppies and endlers.
