Guppies

I just purchase 4 male fancy guppies because they're on sale at PetsMart this weekend for $1 each. All I have are 3 platies swimming around besides some bottom fish. I know the fancy guppies are new to the tank, but them and the platies seem to be squaring off with eachother, flashing their fins to see who's tougher. :)

Should I purchase 5 or 6 female guppies soon to keep the males occupied?

Tank: 45 gallon planted
pH: 8.0
Ammonia: 0
Nitrite: 0
Nitrate: 0 to .25

Guppies

Yes I would get female guppies to keep the males busy( keep 2 female-1 male ratio) how big is the tank? Size 1" fish to 1 gallon. I am keeping guppies now and I am trying to breed them but I haven't been that lucky with it so far.Guppies seem to be real sensitive and die for me easy so I must say that I'm getting discouraged.Good luck!

When do you think my guppy will give birth??

I've had this guppy for about 5 days & she was pregnant when I got her. When do you think she will give birth?? It's the gray bodied guppy. She is really pretty. She has blue, green & red stripes on her tail.
