Usually that means they are females. I hesitate to say that it ALWAYS means they are females, because there could be some cases where that isnt true (although i haven't run into that) really I don't think your guppies are old enough to have gravid spots (females usually get gravid spots when pregnant). If you are looking to figure out the gender of the babies,
Here is a male Guppy. notice the bright coloring and the fins on his belly.
here is a female. notice the fins that are circled and how the male lacks that fin. as well as the fact that the female is less colurful than the male. (i apologize for the size of the picture) |
