Unhappy Fry Ich

Hello! I have 4 weeks old Pineapple Swordtails fry and 3 weeks old Guppy fry in 5 gallon tank. It looks like they have Ich I see little white dots on their tales and on their bodies on some of the fry. Can I treat them with Rid-Ich+ treatment?

Some people suggested to do heat and salt, so I raised temperature to 86F and added two teaspoons of aquarium salt for 5 gallons but it doesnít seems to help.

Pineapple Swordtails fry keep dying almost every day I donít know if itís because of the Ich or something else.

Please Help!

Your current dosage is not enough to kill ich. Use a teaspoon per gallon. Add another set in the next 12 hours and then the last set in the next 24 hours to total 3 teaspoons per gallon. Those fry should be tolerant to salt. Swordtails, guppies, mollies and platies are all equally tolerant to salt. That's the safest treatment for them.

Your temp is too high for the fry. Keep it at 80 degrees Fahrenheit and keep water well aerated as both heat and salt will reduce the oxygen levels.
