i have had a pregnant molly and she is in a tank with only one male molly. both her and the male molly have a lyre tail (at least i think thats what you call it). she has been in this tank for about 3 months now, and this is her first batch of fry so im certain that my male molly is the father but the baby does not have a lyre tail. is this just because they develop this in time? or is it entirely possible that the baby will just have a plain tail even though both parents have a lyre tail? i dont mind either way im just curious to know
also, out of interest, are baby swordtails born with the "sword" on their tail or does this develop with age?
thanks
