do you remember when i had 57 guppy fry all at the same time.......i had to get rid of 31 because of deformaties :(:(:(:(...i felt awful doing it but i know it had to be done :(

wow same here.i had 56 and they either got eaten or died or disapperead or i had to get rid of because of deformities.

ohh, did u have to kill them? couldnt u just keep them but not breed them???
i wonder which is better.. i guess if u had room u'd keep them, but if not, better to kill them, just as painlessly as possible

well i definetly dont have room for deformed ones and i had to get rid of some anyway.i didnt want to at first but i didnt mind after a while

Ahhhh I just saw my fry I talked about in the last thread I thought for sure she was a goner since I had not seen her since the 8th, shes got full coloration now and getting brave enough to emerge from her hiding spot, well that was until her mother started chasing her trying to eat her. Got away this time hopefully she can get big enough soon she wont be considered food... I don't know why but I'm really excited.....

At least yours have a protected environment, I guess I will just have to hope for the best... and darn I have plants coming this week and was going to do a complete over haul with the deco.... I don't want to put her at a disadvantage by taking away her hiding places.... oh the agony of parenthood (sorta)

Wow fryup how did you "get rid" of them?? It makes me so sad...I really hope i dont have to get rid of any!! Their so stinking cute now!! Their starting to recognize me, come up when it's feeding time, and their playing with each other! I love being a momma! :))))

well yes i had to what i did was put the deformed fry in with the adults and just didnt watch :(

my sword fry are only 2 and a bit week and at feeding time they fight ...its so cute hahahahaha :):):)....but so far not 1 has died and not 1 looks deformed :):):)
