I just got a black male guppy today! I'm going to find a female for him, also. Its exciting, the thought of getting black fry!

20 gallonH - 1 Peacock Gudgeon, 2 Skunk Cories, 1 Sparkling Gourami. , one male betta, 2 nerite snails.

55 gallon - 3 Turquoise Rainbows, 1 Boesemani Rainbow, 2 Australian Rainbow, 4 Gold Dust mollies, 1 L. Dorsigera, 2 White Cloud Mountain Minnows, 1 Honey Gourami, 3 Cherry barb, 1 Koi Angelfish, 4 female betta.

Although they are kind of gorgeous, I've decided to get rid of my black female simply because the black overrides nearly all the other genetics and I end up with a bunch of black guppies. It seems the really gorgeous colors are really hard to pass along so good luck with that ;)

I got green, orange, red, black, yellow, and a whole lot of different colors from breeding my gups, probably because of the colors passing off from different generations.

That's cool. I'm hoping to breed in some cobra patterning but so far haven't gotten more than a spot or two.

Oh I'm so sorry. It's always hard to loose a fish, especially one as gorgeous as him. Do you have any of his offspring?
