females fighting?

i have 3 female and 1 male swordtail. i know for a fact all of the females are pregnant. i had one of them give birth 4 days ago so she is not looking like it but still has her gravid spot. but anyway my really pregnant swordtail is fighting with the mother of the new fry who sadly died. we were not prepared for them cause we got her the day before.we new she was pregnant but didnt know they would come fast. so the baby fish were eaten by our other fishes. so what should i do is this normal for pregnant fish to fight?

my female guppies chase each other and it may look like they are fighting but they are not trying to hurt each other, maybe just playing with each other.

well actually my one female fish just nips at the other one. i dont get it she is really squared off i dont know why she didnt give birth yet!

wow now my female is nipping at everyone in the tank she is becoming very aggressive. i am really afraid because my male and female swordtails fought before and ended up in injury. so i think it is going to happen again!!! she STILL didnt give birth yet and i have no fry from any of my swordtails and i cant convince my parents to get some hiding places and some more pregnant females. HELP ME!!!!!

she needs a place to hide from the rest the fish to have her fry. put a plastic cup in there under the gravel and leave a opening so they can go in and out. a few of them would be better.

also just read your other post you may want to get rid of your angel if you want to keep the fry. Angels will eat the fry if they see them. and a 36 gallon is a bit small for a 36 gallon. Unless its tall.

well i dont have another placement for my angelfish but im going to consider that plastic cup idea. we have a lot of these shells that my dad bought along time ago would that help? and if i put a plastic cup in it wouldnt it get cut by the opening?

only if they are sharp. Most plastic cups dont have sharp edges. Your lfs would let you bring it back im sure.

i wouldnt recomend puting in the shells. bad idea.
