Female Neon belly changes shape. ?

I have a 10g freshwater tank w/ 3 Mollies, 2 Mystery Snails, 4 plants & 2 Neons.

My female Neon, I call her Kitty, is pregnant. I have a Molly that's already in protective custody & I have no space to sequester her so she's in general population. I have plenty of hiding spaces but these guys seem to only want to be out in the open. Her belly is full & distended & when I watch her belly, it changes shape. It's one big knot then it moves around & becomes 2 then it fuses back together. Not like in a continuous cycle but constant. Sometimes it divvies up into 3s. It looks like an Alien that keeps missing it's cue.

I don't know what to make of it. She floats, swims, eats, breathes, gets along just fine except for this. Do you have experience w/ this sort of thing?

Well, neons are not livebearers so it's not going to be giving birth. How long have you had the neon and how long has it had this full belly?

I don't know where I got the idea @ neons being livebearers. Thanks for the correction.

I've had her as long as her tank mates. About 3 months. The belly showed up @ 6 weeks ago. I haven't looked for info till now coz she doesn't appear to be in distress. Plus the other one looks "normal".
