The 'Concave Stomach' Disease.

This can go on any of these forums - ive seen it on many a species of fish. However, i tried to put it in the most visited forum, because the more responses, the better this will be to help educate.

I have had Mollies, Danios, Tetras, and platys with this problem. I know it has been diagnosed as a parasite, but does anyone know how to treat it? The last fish i had die of this was a couple months ago, but im sure the parasite still exists in my tank, and now that i am setting up a new one for my current fish, i would like to treat them before doing so.

This will surely help many people if we can get some opinions on this, so feel free to post pictures, ideas, etc. The fish had a slight inward curve to their stomachs. I do not have any photos, i never thought to take any. after the first fish passed after me trying many things: salt, melafix, and another medication for fish
i cannot recall, I gave up posting on the forum. Lets hope we can find out what to do with this, and this post will help people cure their fish (:

Best way to prevent parasites in tank's is to.. Quarantine new fishes for minimum three weeks.
Might consider treating new fish in quarantine with Seachem's Paraguard or Prazi-Pro if symptoms of parasites were evident to me.

The most important medication in your fish medicine cabinet is.. Clean water.
