Bumblebee Platies not breeding?
I bought a new strain of Bubblebee platy for Petco about 4-5 months ago. I have 2 females, 1 male. They are in a community 55 gal. tank. They have grown since I got them and are over 1" big. The male does not seem interested in the 2 females yet. I was wondering if it takes the platy longer to mature or not.
I'd be more interested what else lives in that tank. Chances are well they are breeding and already had their first fry, it just became a snack for someone At the size you say they are, they're already old enough.

I have alot of plants and floating plants on top of the tank so their are alot of hiding places for any babies. My other fish are 2 quarter size angelfish, 6 dwarf rasboras, 6 harlequen rasboras, 3 bushy nosed plecos, 2 boesmani rainbow fish, 8 assassin snails and then the 3 bubblebee platies. I watch them all the time and have not seen the male chase or mate with the females at all.
