breeding balloon and not balloon?

ok well today i got 1 snail and 2 mollies for my gourami in the 10 gallon, first put in there was a small fight but then i fed everyone and now the coexist pretty well. the only problem is i said at the fish store 2 balloonmollies and he definatly gave me a female ballon molly, but i think the male is a fantail? i hope thats what there called, the fin on top is kinda tall. hes sort of small so its hard to tell but i was wondering if a male fantail and a female balloon molly could still breed?

Fantail? Sounds like sailfin to me. Any pictures? Fantail mollies and balloon mollies will still breed.

lol sorry thats the word for it, i knew it but i just couldnt type it. its a Sailfin Molly no doubt, so will they still breed?

Regardless of strains/morphs, they will still breed. Both are the same species.
