i think but i'm not positive that my fish is going to be a mother soon? she seems to have made a little "nest" for herself in the corner of the tank- she hangs out there and only comes up to eat- is this what they do?

She is stressed. I'd put more plants in there for her to hide.

Probably. I've mixed swordtails with golden wonder killies before and they got along well. The killies also keep the fry population under control, which is a plus.
