18C = 65F right!? Its low yea but borderline tolerable for fish like Guppy, Platy & Co - Not too cool but something they can survive.
Since you've done the w/c with water water; toss whatever thick blanket or towel you have over it to keep it warm and not loose it to the air temp that works great for me during power outages).
Also if you can get your hands on any clean plastic bottle (like washed out coke bottle etc) you can fill that with hot water (Not boiling so you don't melt the plastic) and X bottles to your tank to act as "heater" you just gotta replace these every few hrs (or better said: refill with new hot water)...that's my 2nd back up plan for lonngggg power outages

Hope this helps you some and don't worry - It happens!!! Just be glad you weren't on a 3 weeks vacation that wouldn't be too cool.

That happened to me a while back....my temp dropped pretty low, but i don't remember exactly. It was not too long after that, that my cardinal tetras developed ich. I don't know if it's coincidence or if it was related to the rapid temp changes. Just throwing in my two pennies worth.
