what kind of fish do you like. you have to figure out what fish you want first than determine how many. in general once you consider compatibility you go by the 1-2 inch of fish per gallon of water.

leopard danios (danios rock)
green cories
guppies
platies
ghost shrimp

Depending on filtration, how you maintain your tank, etc... you could get away with a few more smaller fish.

What kind of pleco is it? Commons get way too big for a 36 :)

Get more cories. They are a shoaling fish and prefer to be in large groups. Besides, they are so much more fun to watch when they are in a large group. You could probably get 3-4 more. The angel will get pretty big and will fill the tank nicely. Swordtails can get pretty good sized too. And as stated, depending on what species, the pleco may outgrow the tank. So, other than increasing the cories, I would probably leave the tank as it is. But that's just my opinion. I tend to stock kind of lightly.

75 Gallon - Odd couple (Polleni/Angelfish)

Try this one: PlanetCatfish • Cat-eLog
Look under "search all common names", click on the "C" in the alphabet and look under "Common Pleco" to see if this looks like your pleco. It's kind of fun to click around and see all the different varieties.
