Yellow Lab, Electric Yellow Cichlid

Family: Cichlidae

Scientific Name: Labidochromis caeruleus

Origin and Habitat: Lake Malawi, Africa

Compatibility/Temperament: The Electric Yellow Cichlids are mildly aggressive and get along fairly well with most tank mates.

Electric Yellow Cichlids Diet

Their diet should be consisted mostly of plants, but will eat small crustaceans, insect larvae, and most aquarium food.

Size

The Electric Yellow Cichlid grows to about 4 inches long.

Minimum Tank Suggestion

55 gallon

Water parameters for Electric Yellow Cichlids

The Electric Yellow Cichlids should be kept in an aquarium with the temperature ranging from 75 to 82 degrees Fahrenheit, and a Ph of around 8.1.

Description

Bright yellow in color with black outlining of the fins. It is not overly aggressive and is compatible with many other African Cichlid species.
