Who made these tracks or "bites"?

I have a divided 10 gal. On the side with the mystery tracks have one male plakat betta, one Zebra Nerite Snail, and several MTS. I'm just stunned by the sheer volume of "tracks" that are decorating my tank just above the waterline. I'm thinking the nerite, I have heard they can be escape artists. IS this a bad sign? I have never seen anything above water where some of the marks have been made. This is just one of those things that has peaked my curiosity.

The number of trails and tracks has easily tripled since this picture was taken.

they are tracks from the nerite, they do explore alot and can escape, would be good to keep watch and secure the top of your tank incase the worst comes to

Yes, nerites. I kept mine in open topped tanks and they just seem to have a fair sense of warning to stick around the rim.lol Better have a cover though just in case.

Ah, guess he was just hungry and curious. I never seem him up there, must be while I'm at work or at night.
I have a hood, and hopefully when I make snail snacks tonight, I'll give him more reason to love his new home.
