As it is I will most likely have room for the spares (larger tanks and few spare tanks here and at my GF's). I just read alot about shrimp escaping and just wanted to see what people through would be the most shrimp proof tank.
The black tank has a plastic lid with 2 holes for the wires in it the grey tank has a two part lid one housing lights and the other housing wires and the filter its self.

don't worry about the tannin in the water.. it is harmless but unsightly.

Regular water changes over time will help with that.

If you are going cherry shrimp .. they are 100% aquatic... no need to worry.

Very true I would change much water before you put them in, you want the live bacteria.
