Weird critter: Triops

Hmmm...weird that you got some other sort of creature, but cool at te same time. Maybe they were some kind of fairy shrimp?

Update: I got a triops kit for myself and set it up as per the instructions. The eggs were really odd - it seemed like a bunch of tiny wood chips with possibly some sort of eggs in there. They hatched after two days and I'm pretty sure there were three of them, but only two of them survived. They're maybe an inch and a half to two inches long. I actually went out and bought another 10g tank, so I might move them in there and see if I can keep rehatching them every time they die. It would be a cool experiment, I think.

lol well its awsome if u like stuff like horshoe crabs, cuz they look really similar. yea mine were in some wood chips too, i think tahts waht really caused the water to turn brown cuz i think it started to rot. Plus stagnation would be a ridiculusly bad mix. Anyway, good luck with ur triops
