Is this unhealthy shell growth?

Hi, I was wondering if this is also sign of thin or unhealthy shell growth:

I got these snails about two weeks ago. The lightest segment of shell all appears to be new growth since they've been in my tank (yeah, this one has gotten big in that time).

Water parameters that I know are approx:
Temperature: 80F (hot weather, poor AC, doing the best I can)
Ammonia: 0ppm
Nitrite: 0ppm
Nitrate: 10-20ppm
pH: 7.6-7.8 (hard to read the exact colors on some of these)

I haven't tested kH and gH in the last few weeks, but our city water keeps it around:
kH: 80ppm
gH: 180ppm

They mostly eat plant detritus in my tank, Hikari algae wafers, and Wardley shrimp pellets. I've been somewhat reluctant to try to feed my critters vegetables from the grocery store because I have no idea what might have harmful fertilizers, pesticides, or preservatives on it.

I think if the water chemestry has changed, store to home, then it would be reflected in the new growth. It does look pale. Maybe mineral deficiency, but I am sorry I do not know what. Maybe email an invert professor at a local university. I have done that befoore.
