Type of snail for a planted aquarium?

I am looking at getting a snail for my planted 20 gallon, thought it would be a good helper in the algae department but I don't want it to eat my live plants.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Brigs and nerites are often suggested as far as I notice although you can't go wrong with Malaysian trumpet snails.

Thanks for the help. One more question, I am putting some, 25, cherry shrimp in the tank, will the snails eat the babies?

I like spixies, too, as far as snails go.
