Hmm. My understanding is the length of the antennae determine the sex. Females have longer and males have shorter. I've never kept trapdoors so I couldn't say either way. Maybe both are accurate.

Well I can't find anythng one sexing them online so your info is as good as mine. Will have to find a more reliable source so we all know for sure.
